- Okay I`m fessin` up. Firstly I`ve been reading the List Messages just
- about every day, I`ve just been secretly plotting against YOU ALLLLL
- HAH HAH HAH HAH---just kidding. Secondly, I wrote game engine called
- Rally World which maybe the racing game you`re talking about.
-
- If so the details of this engine are a little different to Lotus
- Esprit. I`m using polygons and bitmaps to create the 3d effect. I
- think Lotus Esprit uses clever line scrolling, which I have a basic idea
- of how its done but I think you`d have to do some clever programming to
- simulate this. You could use the Turbo R Bar command I guess. Actually
- the Bar command would work well to create voxel landscapes.
-
- Anyway, I`m going to use the Rally World engine to do a Car Wars game
- for about June 98. Any suggestions (except where to go, flames etc.)
- would be greatly appreciated.
-
- Cheers crew,
- Andy H.
